The toilet rough-in dimensions are measured in inches and usually refer to the distance from the FINISHED WALL (excluding any decorative baseboard trim at the wall base) to the middle of the drain hole, where the bolts mount the bowl onto the floor. In a general installation, the majority of installation is with a measurement of 12 inches. However, 10 inches and 14 inches of rough-in are also available for specific installation needs.
