A brief guide on replacing a Fluidmaster 300 Fill Valve Repair Kit - Cap and Stem Sub Assembly (Part No. GENGR-024).
- Close water supply to the fill valve.
- Actuate the float to depressurize the fill valve
- Twist the cap and float assembly ¼ turn CCW NOTE: Raise the float arm to aid in removing the cap and float assembly.
- Pull off the cap and float from the fill valve.
- Remove the new cap and float assembly from its carton.
- Remove plastic wrap from cap and make sure rubber seal and pin are intact
- Line cap over the fill valve tube and push onto fill tube. NOTE: Raise the float arm to aid in removing the cap and float assembly.
- Turn ¼ turn CW until it snaps into place.
- Lift float up to make sure it is there is no interference with its function with any other tank component.
- If the float interferes with any interior component, adjust the position of the fill valve utilizing appropriate steps based upon the installation.
