- Turn the water off (from the main hot and cold water supply lines or from the integrated shower stops).
- Remove the sleeves.
- Pull out the red ring:
There are 10 notches between the (+) and (-) on the red temperature ring
- Notice on the cartridge, there are two square white notches between the base of the stem and the cartridge body.
- Turn the 2 white square pieces clockwise by hand (till they stop).
- Then place the red temperature ring around the stem, making sure to align the (+) of the temperature limiting ring with the square white notch at the 9 o'clock position.
Note: this setting will allow the maximum hot water
For cooler water temperature, rotate the temperature limiting device counterclockwise towards the (-).

Once the desired temperature is set, reinstall the base over the cartridge. Tighten with an adjustable wrench between 10 and 14 ft-lbs of torque.
- Tighten the sleeves back.
- Turn the water on and test it.
- For Back to Back installation, or if supply lines are reversed (the hot supply line is on your right-hand side when facing the shower or if you get hot first when you turn the shower on),
- Make sure that the water is turned off before you start
(either by closing the check valves on the brass shower valve itself clockwise or by closing the main supply lines hot and cold). - Remove the sleeves.
- Pull out the whole cartridge assembly.
- Rotate it completely 180º.
- Push the cartridge into the shower valve body.
- Tighten the sleeves back.
- Turn the water on and test it.
- Make sure that the water is turned off before you start
