If the check valves for a tub/shower valve have started to leak water or have stopped functioning properly, the check valves may require cleaning, or they may need to be replaced.
In order to resolve the issue, remove and clean the check valves. Reinstall the check valves and test.
If the problem continues, the check valves may need to be replaced.
